The UCSF Vascular Anomalies Conference was founded in 1991.
Patients seen include those with vascular growths such as hemangiomas
and other vascular tumors, and vascular malformations including
venous, lymphatic, arteriovenous, and mixed malformations. This
includes patients with Klippel Trenaunay Syndrome as well as those
diagnosed with "lymphangioma," "cavernous hemangioma,"
"glomangioma," Proteus Syndrome, and other vascular
anomalies.
Patients are generally referred by physicians, but occasionally
are self-referred. Those patients who have had previous treatments
or studies such as biopsies, ultrasound, MRI or MRA, arteriograms,
and other studies will need to arrange to have these studies sent
prior to their appointment. |
