All mole patients below the age of 15 are seen in
Pediatric
Dermatology.
- Adult patients with a single changing mole should be seen as soon as possible in General Dermatology.
- Adult patients with Atypical Mole Syndrome (Dysplastic Nevus Syndrome) and a changing mole should be seen in the Pigmented Lesion Practice as soon as possible. The diagnosis of Atypical Mole Syndrome should already have been established by a dermatologist.
- Adult patients with many moles and/or Atypical Mole Syndrome that are being referred by a dermatologist should be seen in the Pigmented Lesion Practice.
- Adult patients with many moles that are NOT being referred by a dermatologist should be seen in General Dermatology.
- Patients under the age of 15 with a Congenital Nevus should be seen in Pediatric Dermatology.
- Adult patients with a Congenital Nevus should be seen in the Pigmented Lesion Practice.
